Asian Pacific Americans for Progress – inaugural Colorado chapter meeting

Place: Asian Pacific Development Center community room, 1825 York St., Denver, 80206
APAP is a national network of progressive Asian Americans and allies that was founded in Washington, DC. Since being founded in 2004, APAP has steadily grown to encompass chapters in many states with activities such as hosting town halls, encouraging activism on many levels, throwing house parties, and organizing educational events. One of APAP's primary goals is to give progressive APA's a national forum and face for issues that affect our communities. Many of us still remember the poor judgment which led to the publication of an anti-Asian "race war" article in CU's student newspaper and the extremely narrow defeat of the anti-diversity "Colorado Civil Rights Initiative" in 2008.
