Metro State's Kellie Nishikida named to All-Central Region second team
Speedy senior outfielder helps lead No. 4-ranked Roadrunners to 49-4 record

Metro State outfielder Kellie Nishikida was named to the Daktronics All-Central Region second team on May 19.
The senior from Pearl City, Hawaii is batting .386 with seven home runs and 48 RBIs. She is eighth in the country with 65 runs and is tied with the lead on the team with 15 stolen bases. Nishikida is one of seven Roadrunners to be named to an all-region team.
Earlier this season, Nishikida was named to Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference all-conference second team.
Nishikida was a second team Daktronics All-American and a first team All-RMAC selection in 2009.
Metro State has a record of 49-4, with a 37-2 record in the RMAC. The 'Runners defeated Minnesota State 6-0 on May 16 to win the Central Region Sub-Regional Tournament. Metro will host No. 17 Wayne State in a best-of-three series in the super regional on May 21-22.
