'Beetle Queen Conquers Tokyo' opens in Denver this week
Colorado native Jessica Oreck's documentary "Beetle Queen Conquers Tokyo" comes opens at the Starz FilmCenter on June 4, but there will be a screening of the film at 7 p.m. on June 3 at the Museum of Nature and Science IMAX theater. "Using insects like an anthropologist’s tool kit, the film uncovers Japanese philosophies that will shift Westerners’ perspectives on nature, beauty, life, and even the seemingly mundane realities of their day-to-day routines."
First look at 'Hawaii Five-0'
CBS released its trailer for "Hawaii Five-0," which stars Daniel Dae Kim ("Lost") and Grace Park ("Battlestar Galactica"). The show is a remake of series that ran on CBS from 1968 to 1980, starring Jack Lord and Kam Fong Chun.
Gong Li, Andy Lau to star in Chinese remake of 'What Women Want'
Gong Li ("Memoirs of a Geisha") and Andy Lau ("Infernal Affairs") will star in the Chinese remake of "What Women Want," according to The Hollywood Reporter. "Gong will play the creative director at a Beijing advertising firm run by a chauvinistic (and mind-reading) Lau." The roles were originally played by Helen Hunt and Mel Gibson.
