Pamela Yang wins 2010 Miss Asian American Colorado

22-year-old Hmong-American student at University of Colorado Denver wins crown

DENVER – Pamela Yang, a 22-year-old student at the University of Colorado Denver, was crowned the 2010 Miss Asian American Colorado on July 11 at the Gates Concert Hall on the University of Denver campus.

 

Eleven women between the ages of 18 and 24 competed for the crown. More than 350 people attended the three-hour event.

 

Christina Phan was the first runner-up and Mai Choua Lee was the second runner-up. Cassandra Chanthavong was crowned Miss Asian American Activist, Monique Sar was named Miss Network Savvy and Shaina Vo won Miss Talent for her sand art demonstration.
