NBA schedule released, Jeremy Lin and Golden State come to Denver on April 11

Jeremy Lin and the Golden State Warriors are set to come to Denver on April 11, according to the schedule released by the NBA. Lin, a 21-year-old Chinese American, signed a two-year contract with the Warriors last month.

 

 

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World opens Aug. 13
Director Edgar Wright's "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World," based on Korean-Canadian Bryan Lee O'Malley's series of graphic novels, opens in theaters Aug. 13. The film stars Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Ellen Wong.

 

Seattle Mariners fire manager Don Wakamatsu

The Seattle Mariners fired manager Don Wakamatsu on Aug. 10. Wakamatsu, the first Asian-American manager in the majors, led the team to a 42-70 record this year – second-worst in the American League. The 47-year-old Japanese American finished with a record of 127-147 in less than two years with Seattle.
