Mile Hi JACL honors members, raises $1K for scholarship

The Mile Hi Japanese American Citizens League held its annual Recognition Luncheon on April 11 at the Doubletree Hotel in Denver. The event honored various members of the organization and raised $1,000 during a silent auction for its Mile Hi JACL Scholarship, which will be given at the Japanese-American Community Graduation Program later this year.

 

Grand opening of The Red Claw Seafood & Wings on Friday

The Red Claw Seafood & Wings, a Vietnamese-American-owned restaurant located on 472 S. Federal Blvd. in Denver, will hold its grand opening on Friday, April 16. The restaurant will feature a variety of cajun and chicken wings. For the first week, patrons will receive 15-percent off their meal.

 

 

'Mother' opens at the Mayan Theatre on April 16

South Korean director Bong Joon-ho's "Mother" will open at the Mayan Theatre on April 16.

 

 

'Dancing Across Borders' opens at the Chez Artiste Theatre on April 16

"Dancing Across Borders" is a documentary that follows the story of 16-year-old Sy Sar, an aspiring dancer from Cambodia, and his journey to America. The film opens at Chez Artiste Theatre on April 16.
