DENVER – Colorado Avalanche forward Brandon Yip will make his return to the ice on April 2 against Calgary, according to the team's Web site.
The 24-year-old rookie has been out since March 1, after suffering a shoulder injury against Detroit. In 26 games, he had scored 11 goals and dished out seven assists for the Avs.
"The shoulder feels great. Mentally I feel great and I’m excited to be back and help out the team any way I can," Yip said in the team's release. "It’s always my goal to bring some energy to the team. We need some right now, so hopefully I can fulfill that role."
