Mindy Kaling gets NBC deal

Mindy Kaling, who plays Kelly Kapoor on “The Office,” has signed a two-year, seven-figure deal with NBC to write and appear on “The Office” while developing her own comedy, according to Variety.

 

Victor and Tammy win ‘Amazing Race’

Siblings Victor and Tammy Jih took home $1 million for winning the CBS game of “Amazing Race” this weekend. The 14th edition of the show concluded in Maui, Hawaii.

 

‘Star Trek' takes top spot at box office

“Star Trek” took the top spot at the box office this weekend, bringing in $76.5 million. John Cho plays Hikaru Sulu, a role made famous by George Takei in the 1960s.
